RAV Vast Mallets

The bigger felt top is the softest one and produces a warm and very delicate sound. The smaller felt top is a little bit harder and provides a more sonorous sound. The rubber top, which is the hardest, creates a strong percussive sound. The rubber top has the closest sound to your fingers but with a more clear sound of the actual strike. The felt top has the softest touch and gives 100% of the note itself without the sound of a strike, while the smaller felt top is something between these two mallets. The RAV Mallets make the RAV Vast sound less percussively and make the instrument voice clearer, sonorous and bell-alike. Play two similar mallets or experiment with using 2 different tops at a time.
The mallets come in a hard case that will keep your mallets easy to store and transport. The case can easily be adjusted to your bag or the RAV case.

For whom the RAV mallets may work
The RAV Mallets will be a great help for the beginners who have recently started learning to play the RAV Vast. The mallets will help you to learn the sound of each drum separately from others and create some first simple note progressions.
The mallets imply a more meditative, slower playing style, which will be great for your meditation, sound-healing or mindful sessions.
Professionals who seek a new sound can get some interesting effects using the mallets. Playing with the RAV Vast mallets helps you isolate the harmonics in the note and vary the tonality of playing differently than your fingers. You can get the advantage of using this effect in electronic music or looping.
The RAV mallets provide you more mobility when you are playing more than one RAV Vast at a time. They can also give your hands a break when you are busking or have a long performance and will be a great add-on to the musician's toolkit.
The RAV Mallets will also work for disabled people.

These mallets are supper cool and well made. Each of the three heads gives a different sound effect and is so fun! We got a second set so both of us have two to use. I love the big fluffier mallet it gives a lush, defused reverb sound. The small rubber one give a clean, precise sound. And the smaller wool mallet is louder and clearer than the large but not as pingy and the rubber.
Very cool addition to playing with hands. Especially nice for a beginner that doesn’t have as much dexterity or variety of sounds with hands only. |
Just fantastic. We are so happy that we decided to buy those mallets. Great design, professional as all the products. Great variety of sounds. We were so used to using our hands to play, but this makes it a whole different experience. I am addicted to my ravvasts and mallets now. Also, a fantastic tool to have when I work with children. They just love this instrument. Now with those mallets, they can explore it even more. I will be buying more of them soon. I am so impressed with the quality. I wish our gong mallets and flumes would be so well designed. Who knows, maybe something to think about?
