The D Celtic Minor RAV Pan has a beautiful soothing timbre, strong voice and resonance and 4 harmonious overtones. This pan drum is made of nitrided steel, with all-accurately tuned sound fields. The newly designed golden dimples provide the drum with a more lush outlook.
This RAV Pan has a higher timbre than the B Celtic Minor Pan. Its Ding is tuned in D3. The dimples around are tuned in 3rd, 4th and 5th octave. The D Celtic Minor is formed of classic 5th Celtic mode with the studiously omitted B-note (but discloses the usually omitted F-note). This omission of seventh provides an essential harmony. While the addition of F provides more variety and makes song-making and improvising more close-knit.
The D Celtic RAV Pan has only one halftone (E4-F4) that makes playing this scale as easy as ABC. It’s also a great handpan drum for improvising.
This handpan is suitable for both fast and slow playing styles, however slower meditative, melodies will sound especially well. There’s a vein of tenderness, softness and sweet melancholy in the sound of this musical instrument.
The Heartbeats air diffuser placed on the bottom hole is designed to stabilize the sound frequencies of Helmholtz resonance, redirect the sound waves inside of the drum and provides greater power and volume to the sound. Extend the Heartbeats from the bottom of the RAV Pan for playing position and make sure it’s closed for storing or transportation.
