Before we get ready to enter the 2021st, let's cast a glance at the best of 2020. Although no one can doubt that the year 2020 was tough, there were still many good things happening.
First and foremost, we dreamed, we created, and we did our best to provide the best sound quality for you! But most importantly, we worked to support you through these challenging times.
For many of us, the healing vibrations and the RAV drums mellow sound helped us to survive through the lockdown.
You learned, you experimented, you got acquainted with music, you got joy from playing, and you were distracted from negative thoughts and emotions thanks to the magic power of music.
For many of you, the quarantine became a motivator to learn to play music for the first time in your life, and we are glad that the RAV Vast became your guide to this fantastic world!
And we were so happy to see the incredible RAV community growing and being attentive and helpful to each other during these tough times.
RAV Vast drum update
We always search for new sound and new scales. This year we have added two RAV Vast scales – In Sen and Humayun – that are among the most unique tongue drum scales.
Both scales were inspired by ethical rhythms. The In Sen RAV Vast is a melodious drum that recreates the tunes of traditional Japanese shamisen music. The Humayun RAV Vast refers to Azerbaijan mughams' music tradition and has a very exotic and spicy feel. Both scales will be of interest to seasoned musicians as they have a unique combination of notes and provide an otherworldly sound.
And we are still working on issuing few more scales, including E Blues (stay tuned for the upcoming news!).
RAV Pan update
This year we have created the new D Hijaz RAV Pan that has instantly got handpan lovers' hearts. Exotic and otherworldly, sweet, and spicy like baklava and sherbet, the D Hijaz RAV Pan is the recreation of the traditional Arabian maqam in the RAV's version - a unique and fantastic addition to the RAV Pan collection.
New Accessories
We are so happy to announce your favorite accessories back – the RAV Stand and RAV Pan Key are available back again! Both gadgets were designed to make the process of playing more comfortable and produce the best sound possible.
We would also like to introduce a new item – the RAV Vast Hard Case – designed to provide your RAV Vast drum with ultimate protection. As the borders are expected to be open in the nearest future, the Hard Case will be the product of the year 2021 as we all seem to start traveling again!
There's also a new option available to say out loud that you are the RAV community member as we created some branded outfits.
New challenges
This year was unique for the #2020ravchallenge. This is the biggest RAV Vast challenge of all time. Every month you created fantastic music videos for the chance to win the RAV Pan. We would like to thank all the participants for the beautiful music and the RAV community for their support and votes. The challenge winners are about to be announced!
RAV Tutors
We would like to thank all the teachers and all the RAV drum enthusiasts for helping us this year. You spread your love for the instrument!
We created tones of tutorials, numberless lessons, and tips to help you navigate in this enchanting RAV music world.
