People of all ages play RAV Vast everywhere: RAV was shot in movies, was taken to TV-shows, was played on radio, people use it in talent shows, professional musicians use it in their records and music videos, yogis use it for meditations and everyday practices, RAV is used for relaxation after hard working days, travelers explore the world with RAV and every day every one of you adds to this list!
At the moment our RAV family totals 16 RAV Vast tunings and 4 RAV PAN tunings created with your help and inspiration. And today we’d like to recall how it all started.
  

Fun facts about RAV origins from the RAV creator, Andrey Remyannikov:

1. It all began just like with many other makers with a steel barrel and a hammer on Andrey’s backyard. But the manufacture itself was born in Andrey’s garage. He came there every day after work and spent his all spare time to make instruments. About 1-2 RAVs a month.
2. Andrey tries about 100 options before he came up with a famous form of RAV tongue. It is now patented.
3. Vast is the name of the second generation of RAV drums and Vast was created only a year after the sales started. By the way, RAV is the abbreviation for Andrey’s name - Remyannikov Andrey Vladimirovich (as if no one knows that).
4. It was a real challenge for Andrey to start selling his instruments and he only ventured with the help of a psychologist, who made him believe in himself and his creation.
5. It’s funny, but there are very few people in Russia who know about RAV. In the first year of sales, only 2 RAVs were sold in Russia, while the other 15 instruments traveled to their new owners around the world.
6. Andrey has no music background and he almost does not play other musical instruments. He speaks of himself as an engineer. His engineer education and understanding of the physics of sound made our renowned enormous sustain a dream come true.
