A few simple habits help protect your instrument and keep it ready to play.
The same cleaning, playing and storage recommendations apply to RAV Vast, RAV Anima and RAV Moon. Vast and Anima share the same full-size diameter; Moon is smaller. Their care routine stays the same.
Three instruments.
One care routine.

All three are steel tongue instruments: sound comes from striking the tongues cut into the shell. Their playing layouts differ, but each instrument benefits from a gentle touch and sensible storage.
The tuning is identified on the wooden label underneath the instrument. Explore the RAV Vast scale guide to learn more about choosing a tuning.

Protect
the finish.
The hydrophobic coating is covered with a special protective compound that helps extend the instrument’s service life and strengthens its protection.
For current RAV Vast, Anima and Moon instruments, everyday care is simple: keep the surface clean and follow the storage recommendations below.
A soft, dry cloth is enough.
Wipe the instrument clean with a soft, dry cloth. No oil or silicone treatment is needed for everyday care or long-term storage.
Keep these off
the surface
- Alcohol-based cleaners and spirits
- Essential and organic oils
- Acetone and hydrocarbon solvents
- Alkaline cleaning products
These substances may damage the coating. Damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Give it a comfortable home.
Avoid temperatures outside this range.
For normal use and storage.
Keep humidity at or below this level.
Extreme temperature and humidity can affect the instrument’s tuning and lead to corrosion. These recommendations apply to Vast, Anima and Moon alike.
Before putting it away
Choose a normally ventilated, heated room. Store the instrument away from heating appliances and places where heavy objects could fall on it. For long-term storage, keep relative humidity at or below 60%.
A dry cloth and these storage conditions are sufficient; no oil or silicone is required.
Keep the construction as it is. Do not repaint the instrument, attempt to retune it with magnets or otherwise alter its construction. The manufacturer is not liable for the consequences of such modifications.
